Basically, we layer the artificial lighting so that the room reads as bright and warm at any hour, and we use palette and reflective surfaces to push whatever daylight does come in as far into the space as it will go, so the ceiling height reads as an asset rather than an echo chamber.

We check the specific building rules early so nothing comes as a surprise, and in our experience the interior scope is almost always fully open, right where the real design work happens anyway.
